Priyanka Chopra: Actress Defeats Host Jimmy Fallon in Hot Wing Eating Contest on ‘The Tonight Show’

The Tonight Show

Chopra and Fallon challenged each other to eat the most hot wings in 20 seconds. An official count was not kept but Fallon conceded the victory to Chopra.

Priyanka Chopra: Actress Defeats Host Jimmy Fallon in Hot Wing Eating

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who appeared as a guest on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, beat the show’s host in a chicken wings eating contest.

The actress, who gained international fame with her role in TV series “Quantico”, was challenged by Fallon for the eating contest and got beaten by her when she came on his chat show.

On offer were spicy chicken wings and both added a lot of Tabasco sauce on them.

Priyanka has never shied away from admitting her love for food. And she flaunted her ‘foodie’ spirit uninhibitedly. Perhaps Fallon underestimated her assuming that a fit, toned girl such as Priyanka would never beat him in an eating contest.

During her appearance, the former beauty queen even had Fallon say, “Namaste, aap kaise ho India!” (Namaste, how are you India?). She even spoke of her stint as Miss India and Miss World in 2000, as also about her experience of filming her Hollywood debut “Baywatch” in Miami.

The episode featuring Priyanka will be aired in India on Comedy Central on Friday night.
Meanwhile, it is her shooting commitments that are keeping her busy in the US.
In “Baywatch”, Priyanka has been roped in to play a negative role, and she is living it up in Miami.

Golden Raspberry Awards: Fifty Shades of Grey and Fantastic Four Win Top Honors for Worst in Film

Golden Raspberry Awards

Before Hollywood’s best are awarded at the Oscars on Sunday night, it’s time to recognize the industry’s worst… at least as dictated by the Razzie Awards.

Winners for the 2016 Razzies were announced Saturday night, with Fifty Shades of Grey taking five total awards, including worst picture. The blockbuster S&M romance tied with superhero flop Fantastic Four in that category, and also won prizes for worst actor (Jamie Dornan), worst actress (Dakota Johnson), worst onscreen duo (Dornan and Johnson), and worst screenplay.

The much-derided Fantastic Four won two other awards beyond its shared worst picture crown: worst remake and worst director for Josh Trank.

Eddie Redmayne was named worst supporting actor by the Razzies for Jupiter Ascending (Redmayne won an Oscar last year and is nominated again on Sunday), while Kaley Cuoco took home the worst supporting actress prize for her roles in Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip and The Wedding Ringer.

An origin story said to be inspired largely by the “Ultimate Fantastic Four” comics, Fantastic Four offers a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team. The story centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Bad News For Sherlock Fans, Season 4 Is Coming Only In 2017

Are you a true blue ‘Sherlock’ fan? So you must have seen ‘The Abominable Bride’ already. Great! Now just go back to sleep and wake up only next year. That’s because according to the latest rumours, Season 4 of the highly-acclaimed BBC series featuring the world’s most famous spy is only set to release in 2017. The fourth season of ‘Sherlock’, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in lead roles, is tentatively scheduled to air on New Year’s Day in 2017 with production beginning in April this year.

The announcement was made by American channel PBS’ President Paula Kreger. Sadly, this year we’ll have to be content only with a special episode acting as a filler between the well-received third season and the upcoming fourth season. As for all you Cumberbatch fans, despair not. You’ll be able to watch him on the big screen when Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’ releases later this year.

Leonardo DiCaprio Wants To Play Vladimir Putin For His Next Film & Here’s Why It Needs To Happen

So on one hand, we have this ridiculously talented, multiple award-winning, not to forget, incredibly charming Leonardo DiCaprio who also happens to be one of the best actors in the world. And on the other, we have this aggressive, guile, a judo black belt, who also happens to be a feared Russian president—Vladimir Putin. They might seem like two totally different personalities, but in hindsight these guys have more in common than you’d imagine.

In a recent interview with a German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, Leonardo described Putin as “very, very, very interesting,” before going on to declare that he would “love to play him.”

Turns out Putin too, in fact, appreciates Leo’s gumption for wildlife preservation a lot! In 2010, Putin described Leo as the “real man” for his willingness to attend a St Petersburg summit on the preservation of wild tigers, despite having passport issues and trouble with the bad weather.

Now this needs to happen primarily because both these men are powerful, masculine, passionate and well-sorted individuals with clear goals in life and also because of these below-mentioned reasons.

1) Leonardo has Russian roots with his two grandparents being Russian. But, moreover both of them are workaholics.

“I have worked like a galley slave throughout these eight years, morning till night, and I have given all I could to this work. I am happy with the results”. said Putin.

“I am a bit drained. I’ve done three films in two years and I’m just worn out. I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment.” said Leo.

2) Both of them are quite active on the world stage.

One for ruling an extremely important country like a boss and one for making this world a better place—both by the means of his films and charitable work. Not to forget both of them are highly influential too.

3) Leo cares for conservation as much as Putin.

Putin is a renowned animal lover. In fact ‘Vladimir Putin with animals’ is one of my favourite Tumblr accounts. Leo’s favourite work of area includes climate change, global warming and preservation of endangered species.

4) Leo is a survivor and has no problem in surviving severe climates.

He ate raw bison and slept in animal carcasses for crying out loud in ‘The Revenant’. The cold climate of Russia will actually be a cakewalk for him.

5) They both come from modest families.

It’s quite humbling to know they’re just like us. Putin comes from a workers’ family where both his parents were “ordinary citizens.” Leo, too, comes from a lower middle-class family, where he was raised without much money.

So, should Leo play Putin? Hell yeah! Can’t see a better person playing Putin than him actually!

Movie Review: ‘The 5th Wave’ Is Yet Another Typical Young Adult Film

Director: J Blakeson
Cast: Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Robinson, Ron Livingston, Maggie Siff, Alex Roe, Maria Bello, Maika Monroe, Liev Schreiber

‘The 5th Wave’ is adapted from popular Young Adult book of the same name written by Rick Yancey. The film stars Chloe Grace Moretz as Cassie Sullivan, a typical teenager who goes out for parties but is respectful of the boundaries set by her father. Of course, things are never so wishy-washy for long and as Cassie says, everything changed when an alien spaceship appeared with the intention of wiping out the planet (what else?).

To get to the fifth wave, the world first suffers through the first four waves. These aren’t literal waves of course – just a stylised showing of the aliens’ capacity for understanding how our earth works so they can plan its perfect destruction. No, don’t question why they couldn’t get to the fifth wave directly.

The 5th Wave© Sony Pictures India

So the first wave begins with the electrical grids across the world being shut down, followed by gigantic floods in the second wave, bird flu in the third wave and a ground invasion in the fourth wave. Apparently, the aliens kept a tab on the news before coming to earth. Thankfully, director J Blakeson seems to be as much in a hurry to get to the action in ‘The 5th Wave’ as the audience.

So we find ourselves in a temporary camp where Liev Schreiber appears with an army of tanks with the stated intention of saving the last humans. From here, the action really begins to pick with Cassie getting separated from her brother and hell-bent on finding him. Things get a little muddled and drag on when a love triangle is thrown in (it’s a YA film after all) and slows the action.
